Mandela is still critically ill
but stable and he still receives a lot of support from people all over
the world. One person who attended to him in hospital at an earlier time
can clearly remember how much respect he had for himself as well as
others. Madiba has an arrangement of notes and flowers on the sidewalk
at his home in Houghton.
On a more serious note note a dozen
police officers caught a man who flew a remote control helicopter over
and around the hospital were Madiba is currently being treated. The
helicopter also had a camera so don't tell me this was just
coincidence.
And on a funny note a sea slug was named after him
to honour him. According to Marine biologists it is an honour to have
aspecies of organism named after you. In 2002, a species of spider,
found near Cape Town, was named Singafrotypa Mandela. In the United
Kingdom, at the British Institute of Physics at Leeds
University, there is a nuclear particle named the "Mandela Particle". In
Columbia, there is a tree named after Madiba, while in Singapore the
Paravanda Nelson Mandela is an orchid. South Africa has a striking deep
red Protea called Madiba. And the list goes on.
Keep holding on Mr. Madiba
