Graça Machel, Mr. Madiba's wife has been offering constant support to her husband, she has been at his bedside more that anywhere else and has been emotionally very stable - it takes a strong woman to keep it all together in a time such as this. She also sleeps in a chair next to his bed and very seldom leaves his bedside, she did not even leave his bedside to meet with president Obama last week. It is also their 15th anniversary this month. The support outside the hospital are still overwhelming, quite at times but overwhelming. Many still see Madiba as the father of the nation and are constantly praying for him. in a recent prayer session: "God will restore you...do not worry about the mountain you are facing," Hess said after reading a verse from the book of Isaiah. "God is in control whatever the situation. The apartheid government could not kill him...the apartheid government killed many of our leaders like Steve Biko but they could not kill Mandela because God is in control."Madiba is a strong man still fighting for his life as he is, but his wife, I take my hat of to her as it takes a remarkable woman to support her husband the way this woman supports her husband. I can only imagine how hard and tiring it must be to see the person you love the most, the person you gave your whole heart and soul to, the person you dedicated your whole life to deteriorating more and more with every passing second ant there aint a single thing she can do about it, but over love, unconditional love and support.
