Madiba is still in a critical but stable condition. The former president has not even passed away yet and his family already made arrangements with CNN to film the funeral process. One of the officials that attended the meeting slammed the conversation as “inappropriate” coming from family members about a “funeral deal concerning one of their own”. “We are aggrieved and understandably so,” said the official. Another official said “this wasn’t a request. It was a demand. The weekend that passed was full of prayers from all over the world, in and out of churches. A young father also brought his two (2) year old son to the hospital, as he wants his son to know Madiba and all he has done for not only South Africa, but for the whole world. He wants his son to learn about Mr. Madiba now that is a great honor in my opinion. When we were young we learned in school about: Jan Van Riebeeck, Christopher Columbus etc. Well I most definatley think that Mr. Madiba is going to be in future childrens school history books. The Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory collected some of the letters etc from in front of the hospital, they are going to take it to his family for safe - keeping as they are also scared of it being damaged by the weather. In another news report CNN denies that they have bought the rights to Mandela's funeral. I really hope that people will just get their stories and facts straight as one tells a story like this, and the very next day the story makes a complete 360 degree turn. Urgh! That is about all i have for now.
